DODGE ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement Steps
 

Turn off your engine and engage the parking brake.
Loosen the stud bolts on the front wheels.
Lift the front of your vehicle.
Place the vehicle on jack stands.
To change the front ABS sensor, remove the wheels for full access.
Place the removed wheels under the vehicle.
Remove the caliper assembly.
Secure the assembly to the upper control arm using a wire.
Unscrew the two screws from the caliper mount using a ratchet and a 21mm socket.
Attach the assembly to the iron wire previously installed.
Use a flat head screwdriver to pull the retainer away from the disc and remove the disc.
Locate and inspect the ABS sensor.

Use a ratchet and a 5mm Allen socket to unscrew the ABS sensor retaining screw.
Remove the sensor by jiggling it back and forth.
Unclip all retaining clips for the ABS sensor cable starting from the wheel knuckle.

Unclip the ABS sensor cable retaining clip behind the mudguard.
Disconnect the connector by pushing on the red plastic tab, prying the tab, and pulling it.
Remove the cable from the last clip and move it aside.
Spray contact cleaner on the connectors.
Take the new cable and place it back in its upper slot, then reconnect it.
Clip the ABS sensor connector back inside the mudguard.
Clip the sensor into its various slots.
Thread the sensor through the opening in the brake backing plate and insert it into its slot.
Retighten the retaining screw and finish tightening using a torque wrench.
Reinstall the brake disc and put the retainer back in place.
Reinstall the caliper assembly and screw it back on.
Finish tightening using a torque wrench.
Remove the wire used to hold the caliper assembly together.
Put the wheels back on your vehicle.
Lower the car and block the wheels properly.
Operation complete.
